Councillors for West Hunsbury and Upton
Councillors Richard Matthews (above left) and Paul Varnsverry are the Liberal Democrat Borough Councillors for West Hunsbury Ward.
West Hunsbury Ward is situated on the western and southwestern boundaries of Northampton Borough, in the South Northants parliamentary constituency. It stretches from Grangewood Park (actually in East Hunsbury development), in the east, through the West Hunsbury development into Hunsbury Meadows, and north through Upton parish and the award-winning Upton development of eco-homes, across the A4500 into St. Crispin Hospital redevelopment.
It is currently the fastest-growing area of Northampton with extensive housing and commercial development; the latter particularly at Pineham, Swan Valley and Milton Ham, all close to the southbound Northampton Services at junction 15a of the M1, which are also in West Hunsbury Ward.
